I am mum. I do run. Or I’m just a lady who happens to be a mum and rather likes running too. These two things aren’t necessarily related but sometimes they collide. I’m also a physiotherapist with over ten years experience in treating people with injuries from activities such as running. You’d think this would make me invincible to injury. It doesn’t. I’m just as stubborn and competitive as all you other runners.
I’ve been running since I was eleven. I love track, I love road and I (weirdly) love cross country. I completed my first marathon in Edinburgh in 2012 and after going to see the Olympics have been inspired to get back on the track. I’m probably too old for it but like I said, I’m stubborn. And I’ve bought spikes now so I have to use them.
